Some members of the loli community loudly proclaim "2D only! NEVER 3D!" when this topic pops up, but the thing is that
1. it's not the whole community; the suspect ones just keep silent when the topic comes up,
2. this sentiment is only explicitly expressed when the topic does come up, when other times people are simply making jokes about child rape and it isn't accompanied with any explicit or even implicit condemnation of real child rape.
The result is that real potential child rapists feel welcome in the community. All they need to do is lower their voices when somebody complains and let the zealous loli community defenders do their job in silencing dissent by loudly proclaiming "2D only", when soon after everyone joins together again to continue making jokes about child abuse.
This is the dynamic I've began observing in the loli community once I started to become critical. And I had really concrete incidents, like the above with the 9 year-old child who was in danger, that solidified the theory.
It may be difficult but you have to consider whether you may be functioning as a shield to potential abusers within your anonymous community, when you loudly talk about "2D only" when people complain.
