Lots of pretty expensive merch, manga, games, consoles, anime boxsets, comfy stuff to relax on, snacks...
I mean it's nice to be able to buy things that we can share (well, probably except the snacks) otaku goods are really expensive so she'd be quite hard to buy for without going totally over my paycheck. We both would ask for pretty much the same stuff though, so it's nice that we can both knowledgably buy each other gifts.
Though she'd no doubt try to wind me up a little by writing dumb things on there too, like 'being level 65 so I can beat that boss already'. Or making me cosplay something from a recent series she liked. Honestly I think I'd prefer the latter to grinding in a JRPG though secretly, I'd enjoy it.

Also, we'd look super dumb if we got each other the same version of the latest Pokemon game.

I don't know if there really would be a dream christmas; neither of us have really lofty aspirations or crazy wishes or anything like that, a comfy day in enjoying ourselves while relaxing with the warmer atmosphere on a bunch of things we gifted each other is all we really need.
I don't want to upset her by reminding her Christmas KFC is just a Japanese marketing thing, though.

In the wrong sorts of ways, haha. A lot of people have different views on how Christmas plays out, some enjoy it for the presents, others the atmosphere, others the meaning. Without a doubt she'll have got a pretty skewed view on the occasion thanks to the plethora of VNs and such she's played, so she'll probably be all over the romance flags and such. Except very self aware of said 'romance flags'. It gives it away a little when she outright says it, haha.
Considering how a lot of those events play out on Christmas eve in the evening, I don't mind this outlook, though.

Good evening waifu thread! I hope you and your beloved had an amazing week as always, and that your Christmas will be merry and bright!
Tomorrow is my fourth anniversary with this beautiful woman, and I wouldn't spend a second of it differently. Yukari, I love you with all my heart and here's to many more years.

Obviously, the top of Yukari's Christmas list is her very own tank, but that might be a ways off yet. Aside from that, it would probably be military gear and camping supplies!

Last year I got her a bullet casing hairclip, a new tank encyclopedia and I baked her a cake! This year is a secret so far. I think she might get me some new baking supplies or, more likely, a tank model to make with her!

My dream Christmas would be waking up a little early and looking through stockings, lighting a fire and making coffee, eating a lunch, opening presents, then just cuddling up in front of the fire and drinking cocoa.

We're both chipper enough to really get into it and decorate the place, but our decorations might be a little less normal!

OH GOD, you just made me realize I could tease her a little by hanging mistletoe from her ahoge and it is the CUTEST THING.
We'd likely just spend the day either wrapped up playing or reading all the stuff we've got under the kotatsu, or if we got more up and about sorts of things, chasing each other around the house on them. It'd be funny to see her try to manage to stand on one of those old hoverboard things, hahah. Have to make sure we don't break anything around the house, merch going out of print -immediately after release- is daaangerous.

Also, the snuggling up warm thing is giving me the funny image of you buying her a tank kigurumi with a little turret on top and tying mistletoe to that, haha. High caliber christmas kissu!

Pretty much the same as last year's, but this time around I've got a lot more determination to see things through. I've managed to get a lot of things in my life a fair bit more sorted out now, so I can press on properly. I want to, by November, be able to confidently draw little 4koma of us together as well as read her VN in Japanese.

I do, but it's a bit weird since it's more of a 'special date' than an anniversary of sorts, she was special to me long before I called her my wife, so it's pretty much just a specific day I felt was important as a tipping point for me realizing my feelings.

We would TOTALLY make a bunch of snow figures and snow angels, though I know she'd definitely go in there and make most of them more 'graphic' than they should be, haha. The idea of her bragging about a snow-woman's boobs only to promptly knock its head off accidentally is hilarious though.

I'm not the best at coming up with gift ideas, so I would probably just get her something on her list, but if I found something that I would think she would really like then I would pick that up for her.

Yes, it's January 31. It is a little early from when I actually realized what Miia meant to me, but that date was when I first began to fall for her judging by the dates on images I saved.

We would be sure to spend the day keeping each other warm, get a fire in the fireplace going, and cuddle in front of it.

I'd get him cooking or pet care supplies, or anything to replace stuff he's worn out from use. He'd probably get me books or music, I'm not the type to actively want anything that doesnt include him.
Dream Christmas would be a cabin out in the hill country with just us for a week or so, it's peaceful and beautiful and I think it's something he'd really enjoy.

Yes, March 17. It was the first time I said I loved him out loud and I haven't been able to forget it since it was the day of my bands concert and I was in a tizzy the whole performance.
We're both terrible with cold so it'd be a day inside keeping warm together with coffee and blankets.

He'd do alright on his own but would definitely ask obvious questions to get a lead going. He's pretty meticulous and likes things orderly, so it'd be done by the end of November I'm guessing. No favorite holidays, as far as I know, he self admittedly dislikes festivals and big to-dos, but enjoys spending that time with the people he cares about.
Fuuka is a hard worker and great friend, and Mint is a massive qt.

How do you deal with not knowing as much canon information on her as you'd like? To what extent do you try filling in the blanks with headcanon?

What I understand for headcanon is things like quirks or habits that you infer from a character's behavior and so believe them to be a part of their character, even when no evidence to back it up exist.
I don't like to come up with things like that, and instead just make guesses about what she'd do in certain situations.
For example, I have absolutely no idea what she'd get me for Christmas, and so I guess that it would be headphones, but what she would give me could be something completely different

In our case there's been so much canon information over the years that some even contradict each other. Though obviously, that won't cover every single possibility, but it's relatively easy to fill in the gaps by extrapolating based on existing information.

Occasionally I still stumble upon older stuff that I hadn't seen yet, and in a few cases, I found out that what I had guessed earlier had been canon after all. That always feels good.

Just something relaxing and quiet near the end of the day. Having a great time with friends and family is important, but just having the time to wind down, relax, and talk would be more than enough.

I think there might be a holiday or something similar to Christmas in the world of Utawa, but nothing has been really said about it. That being said, once going over the concept of it, I'd imagine she would get into the festive mood after a while since it's something she's never experienced.

I try to guess how she would act in certain situations based on her previous experiences and personality. For example whether the anime or light novels there is never any instance where she has celebrated a Holiday like Christmas, but she has celebrated stuff like one of her friends overcoming a depression, and she likes to have fun with her friends whenever possible, so it's possible she would like to celebrate Christmas during happier times.

I don't know. Of course everyone likes to know more about the one they love. However I don't care for arbitrary facts like her favorite board game or favorite sports team or day of the week. The important things are the things woven into the story. Things that even if they aren't said, can be guessed upon if you know the character's essence, their motivations, feelings and background. Every other "fact" just feels like the whims of the author and not the essence of the character.

Like I said though everyone wants to know more about their loved one, even the little meaningless details. Every unknown is a mystery to be unraveled. Therefor (though it's impossible) the lover himself by his own hands should unravel those mysteries. Instead of being given the answer by the author.

I'm still holding out for his first keychain or strap. I'd definitely order a box and stalk auctions for it no matter how long it took to surface. Rakuten is good for gachapon straps that don't appear as boxes on other stores, but I might get cursed by best boy syndrome and he'll be sold out or far too expensive compared to the rest.

I've been keeping myself in check by going one item per artwork since there's a lot of repurposing, and don't buy the ones you never liked anyway just because the not for sale poster is rare as fuck and you haven't seen it in those colours before. I already have a ton of duplicates so it's going well.

Matsufags must have it tough, I've seen at least three wedding suit looking keyrings in a row and stuff for every season. I guess they can pick one or two then wait for sales but I'd never trust the ones I sort of want to not sell out first.

I've found Alibaba/Taobao listings from factories offering to make them, individual ones even, but I don't know how I'd decide on the image to be stuck with. I have the kind of keychain you can slip an image into and seal up but again couldn't decide what to put. Those are very easy to buy on ebay in lots of 2 to 100s if you wanted some. Shrink plastic is easy to get as well but can go wrong easily if your colours darken too much or it shrinks unevenly, the kind you can print on is more expensive.

I tend to read manga thinking of the motions between panels so it's not so much which panel either, more like seeing the page as a moment. But there are faces that only happen one panel and would be good to surprise.

I say new but it's probably been a couple of months. The tldr is that 24/7 threads about a specific topic that have a title and backlink to previous threads aren't allowed, as the culture in them isn't condusive to a healthy board environment. Or something. I would also have to explain her she is fictional in this world and how such a thing doesn't matter because from her world's point of view everything can be said to be fictional (an illusion).

Unfortunately the mod has, by not autosaging/deleting, ruled that we're okay to post here and shouldn't be in trouble for doing so. The only other person with the same waifu as me also posts her in threads that are sexual in nature (which definitely bothers me since she hates being sexualized). The fact he posts her with the same cropped screencaps I created doesn't help with my image of him either.
I've also been taking a break off browsing /a/ and only going into waifu threads because some guy who may or may not be the one I mentioned above makes threads with her which invites the most tasteless kind of posters, the same kind of people she despises.

Yes, her universe was made to replicate the cast in an alternate no magic setting, the major difference being Tsuzuki's gender. They're supposed to look alike enough in the face to momentarily fool people, but the author's attempts to draw girls' eyes differently are a bit much.

It took me a long time to realise how much of her behaviour is typical for him, that the author even slipped in them making the same gestures and expression on the same page, but admittedly I'm still iffy with it. I'd prefer to see her in his setting, with the life experiences and abilities he possesses. There's a reoccurring gag about his friend making a genderswapping potion which I know led to one doujinshi that isn't scanned anywhere, so I kind of fall back on that in my mind. Afterall, one Tsuzuki is already hard to handle, I wouldn't wish double Tuduks on anyone. Maybe an inanimate object starting with B though.

There's no one I'm aware of but lately I see my deliveries and other pics of him getting tagged on Tumblr with 'my boy', 'look x it's your boy', 'I love him so much', 'my gay dead son', etc. And it pisses me off because of the previously mentioned headcanons (he's a demon/trans/Latino/gay/etc.), and their labelling abuse art and gay porn with his name and filling their themed blog with images of cutting and nooses. I honestly don't know why you'd try to make friends with people on /a/, much less WWD. I ended up talking to 3 people from there on the regular, and 2/3 of them disgusted me. The only one I actually liked talking to is such a great person but doesn't talk to me as much anymore due to life problems. Well, she used to have threads back at 2007 when I first started. I actually missed those times a lot. I made a thread for her this year and, even though people sexualized her, it was a lot of fun. I don't really keep up with all of it. It's literally dozens everyday. To be honest I just keep up with R18 since it's just few percents of all new arts and use /c/ and /w/ for preselected and pick the very best of them. All of this made me really picky, I find it quite hard to find an art I would save, so searching through all of new pics is just demotivating.

But I plan to change that. I want to write and app that will summarize new arts of her and create daily queue for me so I can browse new arts quickly while traveling to work or something. It would be perfect, if I could just save them to cloud just by swapping left or right like in tinder or something(I dunno how it really work there, I've never used any dating apps obviously).
