>>3092201Japan has a birthrate problem because it's a hellhole. Not a hellhole of poverty or violence but a social one. You won't be killed like in Honduras, but you'll wish you were. I'll just greentext, it'll be faster.
>adults expected to be at the office 12+ hours a day>kids expected to be in school for the same amount of time rote memorizing asinine shit (the war of the roses is hardly relevant to japan)>everyone expected to take it in the ass from their superior (metaphorically speaking) and smile and be grateful for the opportunity>not rocking the boat takes highest priority, conformity and obedience always take precedence over individuality>extremely conservative and traditional society that considers sucking it up and carrying on without complaint to be a noble virtue means that all of this is unlikely to change, they only do so when the US forces them at cannonpoint (perry expedition leading to the meiji restoration) or at nukepoint when we wrote their constitution for them (which they still have)Your average Japanese adult probably just doesn't have time for kids. Even if they do, it's no surprise that their kids will look at the above list and think, "why should I?" and just lock themselves in their room to play vidya all day. Their parents can't get them help or just kick them out onto the street because that would be shameful - the group always takes priority no matter much individuals have to suffer for it.
TL;DR Japan is a nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live there.
