The girls themselves and the species characteristics were all just fantastic.
That said, I do agree that it is a bit worrisome when the main cast is one page cameos. However I feel the level of wild, over the top sexual situations that were done in the chapters out weighs the lack of the main cast.
Honestly I got the same feeling 'Wait...what? Oh wow, this series is going full on with no holds' as I got when I 1st watched the opening scene of the anime. I was completely ignorant of Monster Musume then, and it blew me away. I still managed to get that feeling from the Farm, even knowing what levels MM could go to.
I have to also agree with the anon(s) that say these chapters were for Crab himself. Its his work and livelihood. If he gets burned out and can no longer find joy from doing it, then we all will suffer.
Should he have left the new Minotaurs outside the realm of MM...maybe. But if he can satisfy his personal desire for 'X' thing, and continue releasing chapters on schedule then its a win-win. The Main girls are never going to be replaced or forgotten.
