>>3199440I'm not sure yet, it'll depend on how well I'll be able to mentally seperate the first two thirds of the show from the last third. Right now I'm just super pissed at Nishigori, who, with Hayashi, hired an absolutely fantastic author for a character drama, let him build one of the very best couples of the decade and then ruined the last third of their series with shitty Gainax references instead of just letting Hayashi do his thing because the guy is clearly way more competent at writing satisfying conclusions than Nishigori will ever be.
It'll be interesting to see how much new fanart we'll still get a few months down the line. The nips' reaction to the ending doesn't seem to be quite as negative as ours but drawing cute pictures of a couple who got completely shit on by their own series doesn't sound particularly fun.
BD Vol 6&7 will have drama CDs so there still is a very faint ray of hope that one of these could be about reincarnated Hir02 recovering their memories or something, but who am I kidding, it'll just be more content of every character bar the two that most of us watched the show for in the first place.
I'll fondly remember Hir02 and I'm grateful I got to experience those parts of their story where Hayashi was obviously left to mostly his own devices, because whenever that man's autism shone through it was a beautiful sight to behold. I hope in the future I'll be able to just appreciate the good parts of this series without feeling super bitter about the final arc but I'm definitely not there yet.
