>>3238843The Ami stalker thing is completely different but ends the same way; Taiga has a lot more dere moments and Ryuji frequently inner monologues that he finds Taiga attractive from the start. I recall it being both ways so Taiga must have some Freudian slips about how she actually thinks Ryuji is ok or whatever.
As an example, during the cookies incident, where Taiga fell on the stairs and Ryuji caught her, she was seriously worried about him being hurt and wanted to take him to the Nurse's office. The anime does a great job of diminishing her violence towards Ryuji over time, barring certain situations, but the LN is full of small moments that show Taiga as a sweet and caring girl.
I'm only up ti Volume 5 and I haven't read it in a while due to being busy with other stuff but if you care about the series at all, it's worth checking out. Plus Seven Seas is officially licensing/translating it, so now you can get it legally.
