Jurgen is the grandfather of 80% of TSF tactics and maneuvers. He was a natural, and would disable a lot of the TSF auto-processes like flight balancing (the only other guys who do that are Takeru and possibly Yuuya) to give himself greater control at the cost of increased complexity. He always felt that his machine at peak was sluggish, even with his modifications. Note that all the pilots in SM, excepting possibly Beatrix, felt that their machines at peak performance/speed were too fast for fine control. If he was in SM, he'd likely have been able to easily solo the 666th had he been in a comparable machine to their's.
Basically, Jurgen is a broken ML protag like Yuuya, Hibiki, or Takeru, while everyone else in SM are more like not as good Valkyries.
