>>3299814I don't. Danbooru has the same problem that Wikipedia does. It's a great resource until you try to start contributing to it. That's when you run into assholes who've been there for over a decade and they just HAVE to have things their way. There's a guy there that's been removing hundreds of posts at a time from pools with topics that are entirely subjective to the viewer - and he's been doing it nearly every day for five goddamn years! The admins won't do anything because 'technically' he isn't breaking any rules.
That's just one example of the "don't rock the boat" mentality which makes it hard to get anything done. Since everything has permanent usernames, anything you say can and will be used against you. Offend a mod? Get a negative record which bans you from getting contributor status. Offend a janitor and they vote to unapprove your posts for life (janitor post approval is anonymous, the uploader's identity is not). There's no oversight to anything at all. The whole thing promotes a culture of inoffensive, non-confrontational yesmen telling each other what they want to hear instead of what they need to hear. They'd rather have permanent status quo and stagnation than risk their good name and reputation - which sounds silly, it is just the internet after all - but remember that some of them have been there since the beginning 13 years ago. 2005-05-23 to be exact.
