MC gets the shield (hence the name Shield Hero) which is looked down upon and deemed useless because he can't reliably fight, and he's more or less framed and falsely accused and his name gets dragged through the mud and he's treated like a criminal by the very people he's supposed to protect.
Raccoon girl is a slave he bought because nobody wanted to be his ally and he needs somebody to fight for him (because again, he can't reliably fight).
