each board has its use for name or trips, there are very few anons here who chose to use it yet you know exactly the ones who contributes to the board and the ones who crave attention - using a name imo is cancerous but i have learned to accept the few who use a name and still try to legitimately contribute to the board without jerking themselves off. the ones who actively contribute to /c/ without talking about themselves or seeking attention for their own personal gain are imo pretty good people - they may not be anons but i appreciate that they still provide good content for all. on the other hand you will rarely have someone on /c/ use a name in order to talk about their lives and just attention whore in general but someone will still pop up and do so - talking about your interests, your day, or whatever else in a thread where it has nothing to do with the topic is attention whoring, adding a name goes the extra mile to show that you really want people to know who you are and you'll gladly treat /c/ like your personal hangout
i can accept and admit that there is a different between a namefag who participates for /c/ and a namefag who posts for attention and other selfish reasons.
