Anyway, who the hell has claimed that he's "based" because of "muh handholding"?? I don't consider him a great storyteller, let alone a Reifan. He is not. But unlike you, I can still appreciate his mad drawing skills. As someone who lived the decade before Sadamoto screw up, I can ponder the good he did vs the bad, and have a neutral vision of him. That's it, neutral.
You claim to be a "Reichad", yet you self-insert as Shinji (Shinji of all people!) so bad that you need to see a kiss at all costs. Why the fuck are you so fixated on that kiss, do you even like Rei for who she is and for reasons above shipping at all? Rei doesn't need to be validated by anybody's kiss, as if she were some fucking Disney princess.
Seriously, get your shit together (assuming you're indeed a Rei fan). Last thing we need is your insidious penchant for infighting. Some of us are actually trying to do something for Rei, reclaiming some space for her in /a/ everyday and wherever it could be beneficial to her in the long run.
I'm actually the translateannon from above, I'm doing something instead of whining and shitflinging at other Reifans. Mind you, I'm translaitng Amaryllis now, even if I don't ship, just because I know there are some good LRS fans that put Rei above shipping and because having access to more Rei content is a net good.
Bottom line: Some ship LRS, some don't, some are more drawn to Rei for her goddess nature, some relate more to her struggle with her human side. Rei can mean different things to different people, she's amazing like that. If they put Rei first and foremost and genuinely care for her, I can respect other people's views. Go do something useful for Rei before trying to police us who do.
