>>3888577Conversation happens, so long as images are posted for anons then there is no harm.
>funposterShitposter would be the correct term but yes the rest of the point would stand.
>in which case they probably aren't going to take advice from someone who's insulting themMaybe they won't, maybe they will. I've seen both sides happen - some react by changing themselves so they don't act as a burden on other posters and they end trying harder.
>community policing doesn't work when there are no identitiesExcept for the cases where it does - it's not an absolute. There have been times where a community reprimanding a poster has resulted in the poster changing the way they post to better fit in and to do their best for others - not everyone who posts low quality things are in it to be a shitposter (again nothing wrong with being new). I've seen it happen so to say it can't happen doesn't make sense.
>There are no consequences from the community for being an obnoxious faggot and not assimilating into the board's culture.Other than derailing the thread, causing arguments, and ruining things for different people. It's not a consequence for the poster but it impacts others around them. Doesn't fit this current situation as nothing much came from the post but I would say that is a consequence to ones actions.
>I got it from cripplechan /r9k/Well that's a red flag in itself. /r9k/ isn't a place for normal or well adjusted people to post, same would go for cripplechan. It can be used as a guideline but to take it as fact or to use it to actually classify anons is way too much - even as you stated, we don't know if it was for a specific board or what.
If you want to look at a single post and judge an anon only based off that one post then sure, but it most certainly won't be accurate as you don't know how the anon posts in other threads or on other boards. It's useless unless using it to judge yourself as only you know how you post.
