I've never really been a big fan of cgdct anime but I gave it a try and it hooked me in completely. first the visuals are very pretty, I like the colors and the location, it looked very comfy, and since it is based on real locations on a real town you can actually see the scenes through google earth. the characters were fun and cute, but I can't really point out anything unique about them other than the voice acting, which was good. the theme of fishing is not superficial, they really go into detail about it which surprised me, it was unexpectedly fun and reminded me of when I went fishing as a kid. the music is absolutely top and enhances every scene, it's very very good.
my opinion is biased however because of the threads. when the lockdown started the anime, with only 3 episodes out, went into hiatus for like 2 or 3 months. you'd think the threads would die out or be just a husk full of nothing, but they they turned into something else, something very especial. it was an awesome experience and made watching the anime that much better
