That sounds relaxing, I like the idea. I feel it's fine to spread it out since Christmas Eve is also pretty important. The relaxing with family after all the festivities can be enjoyable.

I celebrated Christmas with Chihaya on Christmas Eve Eve which was good, then traveled home for Christmas with family which was okay. Just did presents in the morning, then brunch, then cooked dinner until it was done, then just relaxed.
