Rider caring for Sakura and Rider trying to NTR her are incompatible, considering what Sakura's character and what her wish are. It being a fanservice game doesn't matter one bit when Rider fanservice comes at the expense of Sakura fanservice. And it's just an excuse anyway, since Illyafags vastly outnumbered Riderfags and they got very little in comparison romance-wise. (which is a good thing, don't get me wrong). If these scenes didn't exist, practically no one would have been calling for them. Nasu said in the HF movie interviews that he was disappointed that Sakura was not very popular initially, but he just doubled down on that and only made things worse with HA.
I do wish Sakura and Medea had interacted in the real story. They're so similar characters and their wish is so similar, it's a shame they never did.
