Back to the point, the most honed quality of his writing which to me is characters is lackluster because of this. I might be projecting this on Fate though. I can't deny that the Emiya theme makes my imagination run.

That argument is just another non-sequitur since she's pretty much a main or at least very important character in all three routes, unlike everyone else. They've probably either never actually read the story or looking to get a rise out of you. Or they've only seen the anime. I haven't seen the anime since it came out and I remember nothing from it. So I just assume it doesn't do the romance justice.
Only someone who's completely indifferent towards Fate could come up with the kind of shit they post there. It's better to filter it as interaction with them will never lead to anything.
The impression I get from these stories is that Rin is written with love on a different wavelength than the others. To me she feels much more real. The author absolutely couldn't have come up with this stuff without it being personal.
