>>4448105>new captcha sucks>increased spam w/ very spotty moderation>dedicated anons leaving>long term generals dying>4mb image limit>site hacked>pass cost doubled The site dying twice this last year actually did kill off plenty of other anons as well which really didn't help /c/. While many threads had different anons in them, a good chunk were kept alive by a singular OP and over time those type of caretaker anons have left due to being the only dedicated poster in the thread (paired with the site shitting itself and other issues above).
It's not fun keeping threads alive just to end up posting 90% of images alone, but honestly bless those anons who tried keeping interest up. I love them for trying and hope the best for those who left. Thankfully there are still a chunk of active generals, but I highly doubt we'll get any new generals because no one wants the responsibility of keeping a thread alive all alone most of the time and the only other alternative is bumping it one a week.
We've reached the point where the board may actually die within these coming years because there is nothing new to look forward to - more dedicated caretaker anons will get bored, they will leave, more threads will die off and slowly but surely /c/ will get even slower as what's the appeal? What is there to look forward to, the site going down again? Maybe next time I'll die with it.
>tldr/c/ is close to full on dying imo as it doesn't have a way to entice new users, nor does it offer anything to keep users here.
