They're a minuscule part of 4chan (or maybe perhaps just one board, I'm assuming /cgl/ was mostly part of it) and don't represent the rest of the community. So don't take what happened that day too seriously, OP. 4chan will always be 4chan, and with the millions of unique visits per day I'm pretty fucking sure they don't represent much.
