It's completely hypocritical to hate Reddit for f7u12 shit, but ignore fucking doge.
However, it's not the dumb images that make me hate Reddit.
On Reddit, particularly the larger subreddits (extra-particularly /r/atheism) have this awful circle-jerk "we're smarter than everyone" mentality: where posters are bizarrely critical of everything they don't like but will gladly upvote even the dumbest crap imaginable so long as it tows the party line.
There isn't ever any thought or discussion, and the mindless shouting quickly drives out everyone who'd actually like to talk about the subject.
