So i've always wanted to go to a convention
either anime or E3 something like that
but I don't have any friends that share similar interest (maybe E3)

Do people ever go to conventions alone?
Is it safe for me to go to a convention by myself? or is it more fun going with someone?

Solo con attendance is possible. It just means there's no division of labor. You have to book your own room, arrange for your own transportation there and back, make your own costume if you're cosplaying.
As for safety, you're in an unfamiliar area by yourself. If you can handle that, then no problem. Try not to make it obvious that you're out of place, though. Don't cosplay outside the con hotel, for example. Split your cash so that if you're mugged they only get what's in your wallet. Don't leave your luggage unattended.
Meet people. Make friends. Attach yourself to their groups if that seems like fun. This is much easier if you're in cosplay, which is a good ice-breaker. It's natural to group in with others cosplaying the same series.
I've had a lot of good experiences at conventions, and never felt like I was in any danger. I think you should go. It's expensive and arduous, but it's worth it.

It is pretty easy to make friends at a con anyway. If all else fails you could try arranging to meet up with people on con-related forums or maybe even on here (if this board survives the attack). And of course, there's /cgl/ if you don't mind drama.
