I know of a time where the artist for Zero no Tsukaima got in trouble for making an adult doujin of his own work (Sadly, not Zero no Tsukaima) and he got in trouble with his publisher for doing it. I think a lot of companies don't want that kind of press. Things are changing though. 10 years ago what Nobeta is doing would be unheard of. There's also the official/unofficial adult doujin of Sono Bisque Doll where they basically gave permission to a well known adult doujin artist to make a doujin where Marin and Gojo fuck.
