>>780075I personally don't like forcing my characters into things where they aren't necessarily needed. Personally I find the rate certain characters have gotten attention from a small pool of individuals to be a little concerning, as it feels less like its a group project where all the characters are equally ours and more like its about propping up the characters we made specifically and maybe a handful of others if they specifically are close to our characters. There's nothing wrong with having favorite characters but when it gets to the point you put down a character like Ada, who has steadily existed for a while now with a very clear place in the established character dynamics, just to prop up a character that is literally just a robot copy of another character you made feels kinda lame.
When I saw crush I thought "Oh cool, another fun little variant that can be discussed for a few threads". Like how we sometimes have a few threads dedicated to an AU or larp idea. She seems super relevant now, but in a few threads when the initial novelty wears off, is she really gonna be used much unless she's inorganically pushed? We've already got a Wendy, we've already got Asimov 2 and Ada, a combination of these as a regular character just seems redundant. Sometimes a neat idea in a thread can just be that, a neat episodic idea.
