I just buy the salts and copy the ratios in the ingredients
its mostly just:
sodium - in table salt
posassium - in lite salt
magnesium - tablets
calcium - tablets
there are others but those are the main ones for hydration from what I understand. I copy the gatorade formula for pennies a serving.

i think your whole feet and legs should be as inline as possible so pedaling doesnt make any twisting or side forces on ur joints

are you just trying to clean up the threads in your frame? how bad are they? sometimes you can take a hardened tool like a small slotted screwdriver and almost "scrape" it through the threads to help clean them up a little.

I cleaned the threads out with a pick, but before I did that I made the mistake of not cleaning the shell thoroughly. Screwed up the threads a bit on the bb, tried a different bb cup and it threads in nicely most of the way but cocks to the side a bit and starts to cross thread.
It was pretty crusty coming out, I really should have known better lol.
But yeah, the threads are beyond just threading another bb into the shell at this point I think.

Yeah the threads are pitted and stuff and I don't have a junk bb cup lying around. I forgot that the asshole shop is next to a Trek store which probably has like every park tool you could imagine, so maybe they'll do it. Orr I'll just buy one and return it lole.

just a heads up that those cutting tools are usually covered in wax/plastic to protect them, so it will be obvious if you use them.

are there any self-serve shops or co-ops near you where you could do it yourself?

I like the idea but make sure you have enough tire clearence, and you will probably rub the paint away.
I have used sks fenders before, and the most annoying thing is the rubbing paint and the fender rubbing on the tire/moving.

Now, I just use on that goes on my seatpost and under the fork with my mountain bike.

What I would do is get a cheap fixed cup, cut 4 slots in it, and thread it in to "chase" the threads.

I got kinda lucky on mine that wire wheeling with a dremel cleaned up my threads.

How often do you get to do a long ride? If you can get one in at least once a week you should be able to start pushing the distance pretty soon. It's amazing how quickly your body can adapt just in terms of duration- I find at the start of the season it's like I'm exhausted doing 40 miles and then the next week I'm on 50 miles and it feels great.

How do I stop being so thirsty and drinking?
I drink because the weather is hot but my pee is clear and reddit tells me that I'm drinking too much water and I'm peeing out my electrolytes.
I easily drink 5-6 liters of water a day and the only time my pee is pale yellow is the first piss of the morning.

Does no one make non-threaded brake shoes? I found the Kool Stop cross holders from a place in Germany with 25 euro shipping to the US but that was it. I can only find some Jagwire pads or Kool Stop eagle pads, which I kinda don't like since the rear of the pad sticks out way further than the front and they kinda contact the rim weirdly.
No other options?

oh i'm retarded and didn't fully digest your post. i only saw "kool stop eagle" and thought you were referring to the signature kool stop "plow" they have on the tail end. but yeah both kool stop and jagwire make pad holders for road pads, but i'm not sure they they're more expensive and seemingly harder to find.

yes, that is what i was referring to
i wasn't specifically asking for insert ones, but it seemed like the only two pads i could find at most retailers were the non threaded eagle and jagwire pads.
but yeah i didn't know jagwire made smooth post canti road inserts, and i wasn't sure if the kool stop ones would take the standard shimano style pads.

almost all holders that take inserts are going to fit either the standard Shimano road inserts or the standard Shimano longer mountain inserts. or if you don't necessarily want holders that take inserts, then Shimano and Jagwire make some and they're typically much less expensive than the holder type. I've also just shaved off the plow from the Kool Stop pads in the past.

The version of the Rev X’s that were “doomed” to fail after enough usage weren’t actually on the market for very long. They pretty quickly changed the design so that the blades wouldn’t get the harmonic resonance vibrations at speed that would end up causing spoke failure. You can easily tell which ones they are by the feeling of the spoke blade edges, but there are more “corrected” rev-x’s out there, the “death” rev-x’s just got more famous

I have an aluminium fork and I am hoping to fit front mudguards using the daruma bolt provided by the manufacturer. My bike didn't come with a fork crown bolt, so I'm looking to buy online.

Shopping for bolts I see a lot of options, steel/aluminium, titanium. And various fixings, with or without washers. Any tips on these would be appreciated.
