I grew up in suburbs, but they were old suburbs with mostly gridded streets and with shops and parks close by. these newer suburban sprawl developments are just closed-off neighborhoods with 1 or 2 ways to get in and out, built off of busy roads that lead to the fucking super walmart. it's all fucking soulless.
