I'm trying to swap from a flat-bar setup that the previous owner of my bike used with MTB specific mechanical discs, so I'd need to buy some road compatible calipers to make drop bars work anyways. The bike has sram x9 derailleur so they should be compatible.
Would I be better off just buying some cheaper mechanical shifters and calipers?
