I think with the advent of electric motors, increasing bike infrastructure, and fixiefags having kids, i'm seeing more and more fancy cargo bikes, especially ridden by women.
They're mostly overbuilt (as large cargo bikes) or underbuilt (as faux-sport bikes, or, excessively cheap and shitty 'utility' ebikes). I think we'll start to see more smart touring bike-esque e-bikes with better shopping utility but not so heavily focused on it and not outside the 'regular bike' box.
