Just bought what I think will be an interesting bike for day bikepacking and short camping trips, a 1980's cannondale mtb with a 24'' rear wheel amd 26'' front wheel.
The reasons I think it'll make for a decent bikepacker are...
>Plenty of eyelets for an old mtb, double eyelets on the front fork and at the rear dropouts
>Aluminium, so light as a feather
>Smaller rear wheel helps with hill climbing and acceleration, I imagine it'll make carrying loads on the rear slightly easier too with the lower centre of gravity.
Really looking forward to planning the buold and figuring out how best to set it up, any tips or advice would be much appreciated.
