>>1940237> Inland barge is the worst due to constantly making up the rafts of bargesInland tug deckineerfag here, and I get an almost all the deck work and projects. The cooks companywide are usually just lazy boat riders. Just encountered 2 guys, who have been here from 1-3 years, that can’t even tie a fucking bowline.
I’m 3 months shy of 720 ER days to go for a DDE 4000, but not sure if I should stick with tugs. I like the 2/2 week schedule, but fuck, I get pretty ran ragged by the end of 2 weeks due to fatigue.
Just got a pay raise after 2 years, going from $419/day to $496 and was planing on jumping ship in a few months for greener pastures, but the upcoming pay ain’t the worst. I have no desire to sail Alaska again, and am considering cashing out my seatime to go to the ferries, but Idk their pay.
