>>1756168The Navesink/Shrewsbury would still be connected to the bay through a canal, obviously, in such a scenario. The water has to drain somewhere... Previously, the Navesink/Shrewsbury drained into the Atlantic where Sea Bright and Sandy Hook connect.
Otherwise, err, Rumson is inland, it's on the river, not the bay. The bayshore towns are Highlands (not rich), Atlantic Highlands (moderately rich), Leonardo (not rich), Belford (not rich), Port Monmouth (not rich), Keansburg (very not rich), Union Beach (not rich), Keyport (not rich), Cliffwood Beach (not rich)...
These are actually some of the poorest towns in Monmouth County lol, meanwhile inland you have Holmdel, Lincroft, Colts Neck, Rumson, Fair Haven, Marlboro, Manalapan, Millstone. think you've got it backwards. The rich seafront towns are on the Atlantic coast, the Raritan coast is notoriously poor and a swamp.
