Consider some ksyriums or fulcrum wheels as an upgrade path and some Vittoria corsa tyres.
When you really start to get decently fast and have a really good ride routine, only then should you consider upgrading to a full carbon beast, but even then you should keep your older bike for commuting or getting into weekend racing etc.

Keeping your chainrings clean will help a lot too as that's where any oil squeeze-out will end up and will gather all kinds of garbage with it.
