I want to protec the underside of my new bikes frame, normally I would simply apply some tape, however this particular bikes frame has an unusual design feature. The underside of the down tube is slightly concave, a design feature designed primarily to conceal the cables that run from the handlebars to the gears and rear brake.
Picrel is a crUde sketch that shows an approximation of the tubes cross section. How best to protect such a tube? I'd rather not pull out all of the cables etc if that can be avoided, I was wondering about applying some tape over the cavity instead.
What do you think?
