PROFESSIONAL BICYCLE MECHANIC here, I just want to say that if you go with Reynolds wheels and any Continental or most tubeless tires, you are going to want to invest in a powered exoskeleton system and augmented hands. Bead seat diameter is just a rough guess.
>>1276311I'd rather have an alloy frame with carbon wheels than a carbon frame with alloy wheels. Get some used carbon wheels. If you are a big guy (for me) or are overweight, please be sure to visit your local bike shop and ask them to make sure the spoke tension is in spec. Make sure they actually know what the fuck they are doing and wont be lazy. Ask if they can run a spoke tension calculation with the Park Tool app and check to see if the tension is within manufacturers recommended tolerances. I guarantee that most wheels you buy used will be way to tight from years of noobs truing the wheel by only tightening spokes.
