>>1651950false, a small stripmall that was built in the 70's in a niggervillage in the city generates more revenue than a newly built suburban one. the reason why suburbs continue to grow is that they are not sustainable and an only exist by building new shit, whereas denser areas are able to fund themselves over long periods. if a suburb doesn't continue to grow they end up falling apart over time and people end up abandoning them for the next suburb.
If you want privacy and land, move to rural areas. those aren't actually a burden on tax payers and people are usually happier and cleaner air. Denser areas don't have to be major cities either, they can be like those small quaint towns that people associate with traditional american culture (pic related), not those dead depressing excuses for family homes. also, kids, one of the important parts in family building, are happier in dense and rural areas over suburbs. suburbs are the worse of both worlds while excluding most of the benefits from both
