>>1120355>>1120628Surly racks are good racks but they're heavy. If you want durable and high quality at the cost of your bike feeling as heavy as a tank, go Surly. Otherwise get something aluminum. I have a Surly rack and I love it but I notice the weight. Surly has a few front rack options. Axiom, Jandd, Nitto, Salsa, Velo Orange, and Wald all make front racks as well. The Jandd Extreme looks like it might fit your needs, though I have no personal experience with Jandd products. It will be substantially lighter than the Surly racks because it is aluminum.
