I bought a pair of cycling shoes about 9 years ago but didn't like how much the sole flexed so I threw them in a closet.
With my current shoes worn out I gave the other ones a try. Turns out they are fairly stiff on the bike and most of the flex is forward of the cleat plate. Since those ones have BOA laces I could have saved myself a lot of lace tying the past decade.
A new "MUP" is almost finished. They didn't bother raising it to sidewalk height, and just made it flush with the road. At least they added a barrier otherwise it would become part of the driving lane after the first snow.
