Of course there's always the odd psycho who really did join the armed forces to kill brownoids. But the ratio of normal poor people to serial killers is much more skewed towards normal poor people in the military. Whereas in the police, it's almost unheard of for there to be a cop who has what normies would consider ethics
Just look at the weapons, the army guy standing around grand central has a beat to hell M16 that hasn't been repaired or upgraded since Desert Storm at best, and they drove their in a GSA Ford Fusion and they memorized the basics to operate the weapon and that's it. Meanwhile the cops are all strutting around with a $7000 prototype from some boutique special forces vendor in "0.556 x 69mm Rambo Express" and multiple backup weapons on each limb that they got at this year's "shot show" and there's a couple of Israeli MRAPs purchased new parked outside with a "non lethal" (actually pretty lethal) sonic pain cannon on top and they all have a raging erection thinking about what it's going to feel like to use these cool new bullets on a human body
