It really only makes sense for B5, because, since it uses artificial lighting, the support towers and centerline structure are already there for the lights anyhow. (That being said, it would _still_ make more sense to run the length-of-the-station tram lines at or near "ground" level. It wouldn't need to be a low-gravity zone, and you could skip the elevator trips up and down the supports.)
