>>882451The boiler on that is way up out of the way. I'd say much deeper than that and you will put the fire out. Which isn't as disastrous as you think, the engine still has steam so it can get itself out of the flood if it can., and that's an oil burner. So the fire can be relit almost any time.
The big thing to worry about would be metal stress on the firebox.
