>>1505709>>1505656I checked and it will fit my ultegra 9 speed cassette and sram X9 derailleur, might go for that since I already have the parts and it’ll fit on a flat bar. I rode the drops to the bike shop, it’s narrow as fuck and not comfy. I moved the brake cables to the other side of the lever (since yeah the levers are meant to be a secondary in-line lever for drops) and it felt much more usable. I also slathered the “Ideale 80” saddle in coconut oil, no idea if that was smart or not
>>1505746The bottom bracket does use a pin spanner which I don’t have, it also has some resistance (the wheels are not-70’s shimano hubs and feel great though). Not sure if I should try to open up the BB or leave it. I also don’t know what tools are needed to take off a threaded fork and grease the headset, but if it doesn’t need extra tools I’ll do it.
So flat/cruiser sweep bar, brake pads, 9 speed chain (and a front derailleur/shifter would be smart right? I don’t want to give this as a gift with just one speed)
