I just finished my PPL at the end of august, I learned with it as well as paper charts. I used ForeFlight second to paper as I haven't really taken the time to learn it fully.

Retarded shit. There are no standards for those computers everyone has a different one which complicates everything since everyone needs to work with different methods they can have errors which are not a problem when you are flying but a very big problem for theoretical exams

the problem is that we don't use the e6-b where i live we use cr3 everyone can choose whatever he wants that's the problem no standardization.

No. But if you get good at it, and STAY current, you can do the calcs in seconds.

That being said there’s awesome apps out there that do the exact same thing and are easy to use.

Paper sectionals yes, "whiz wheel" E6Bs no, at least in my ground school last year. We were encouraged to use electronic E6Bs instead.
