>>1583869get new brake cables and housings and route them carefully
this will allow you to place the handle bars higher up and closer to the seat
on the pic you provided the cables are maxxed out already
>>1583999dont worry about it to get speed you have to give up comfort
how ever I will say that an inefficient upright bike is also unpleasant if you have to go far or fast,
the exertion takes its toll if you try and maintain 25 to 30 kph, or you encounter a head wind
riding closer to 15 or 20 kph puts you in the better than walking or jogging phaze
>tldr upright is better for your lungs and neck and shoulders but worse for your legs, spine is arguable depending on how good your seat isquick overview of the bike
those gear shifters are likely draggy as hell, the only twist shifters I find to work well are SRAM Mrx 21 or Shimano Revoshift, but hey if they work for you ehh
your quill stem is farely short and tall but its shank is not very long
that type of handle bar does not have much rise or sweep back, for a bar with massive sweep back see north roads or mustache bar (pursuit bars if you want fast and comf)
>see any unracer thread for those kinds of barsseat post is bad because of the angle adjustment being very notchy, there are only really two or three notches that are any use to get the right angle
seat covers are the devil, better to get a seat the right shape with a hollow in the middle and a raised section at the back for good support of the sit bones
tho I cant recommend a specific seat as its personal, but pic is on a beater road bike that is comfie in both the drops and on the tops
tires look like 1.75 inch its good size that rolls well for the amount of air cushion it provides
>>1583917too narrow hip closure angle and sit bone support for an upright seating position
and the cut out is only effective if you are sitting directly on top of it
the shorts a dank tho, reduced friction and they can be washed properly
