In the 70s you were able to drive with the car and park right in front of you're workplace.
now its impossible to find a free parking lot, while its still miserable to ride with a bike there
at least that's how it works in Germany, but they also made parking tickets really expensive and now the latest trend is to make some ridicules low speed limit and put speed cameras everywhere, this year they doubled fees for driving to fast.
now they complain about amazon because inner city's are dying. problem is no one can afford to pay rent there, S-Bahn is agonizing slow and full of smelly hobos. no one is going to drive half an hour with bike to buy something.
