In general bike industry shits on our heads in order to make a profit and make us consoom.
But this thread is about those rare occasions where innovation is not only for the sake of itself and marketing wanks, but things that make cycling in 21st century better. We hate constantly an there is a lot to hate, but what are you happy about?
Myself, I am glad that
>selection of materials for both frames and components is better
>thru-axles are a thing
>disc brakes are now common
>T47 BB now being seen more and more
>unironically e-bikes although I don't intend to use one
