But you can blow stoplights by looking left, looking right then making sure nobody is turning left in front of you (the number one way motorcyclists get killed).

But why do you want to go through life runnin' lights? Use that time to look cool and drink water and put a foot on the ground.

Also IMO even a controlled red light blow gives us a bad name and should not be done in front of normies.

Meh in my city it's normal for cars to blow red lights, the timers are fucked. I only get yelled at when I burn through all way stops. I used to be good about all ways but it's literally faster if I blow through for everyone because cars always get confused and try to let me go first even if it's not my turn.

Fixie riders are the most delusional retards imaginable. Go on any fixie video channel and see the cope with a million list videos trying to convince you that fixie is the be all, end all.

You might be more attentive towards your surroundings, but that has more to with riding around the city a lot than riding a fixie. And being attentive doesnt help when some idiot does an unexpected right turn in front of you and you cant stop quickly because you have to use your legs to slow down.

I can also get around town much faster on my disc brake road bike than on my fixie without losing my ability to pay attention to the road, and it feels a lot safer too
