I think it's pretty neat. Lots of people know it even outside of the enthusiast community, and if this hobby is to survive we need more people than old stuffy enthusiaists. The people that bring in the money nowadays are normal punters instead of die hard enthusiasts.

The Scots sure knew how to build trains. The steam power over where I live was largely built by the Scots and they're still perfectly operational to this day 140 some years later. Flying Scotsman is cool.
