I didn't mind the square taper, i put in some cheap ali crankset and bb, mostly because i wanted to try 165mm cranks, and now i might even go for 160mm
i am still looking for decent quick release pedals, might shell out on some mks pedals
my current quick release pedals (promend something from ali) have a fair amount of play in them
though i think the play is inherent to the design, a QR pedal can't be as stiff as a regular one
one thing i dislike about bromptons is the stock pedals, the one on the left being so much wider, makes it very unpleasant
though funny enough, i asked a couple of different people irl, and they hardly even notice it/never thought about it
