I've visited Chicago several times and really enjoyed the neighborhoods. I'm from a small suburban car sprawl town, and my tolerance wanes for it each passing day.

However, you always hear about crime in Chicago. Is it really that bad? I didn't see much of it even riding the train. Of course South side is bad but that seems pretty self contained. My current top pick is wriggleyville but I'm open to other anons suggestions
