>>1934572The sidewalls get cut much easier and, if you want to set them up tubeless, weep sealant. Cut sidewalls shouldn't happen much on road tires but isn't unheard of. Another annoying problem is that the tread is glued to the casing, not vulcanized, so delamination can happen
I haven't ridden those particular tires (Challenge Criterium RS, I guess? Those are cotton, while most Challenge is spun nylon casing, afaik) but have used Veloflex, Vittoria, Rene Herse/Panaracer, and others made in the same style. They are fast as fuck, just have to keep in mind that they're a bit more fragile (or in the case of Rene Herse shit, a lot more fragile, they're really pushing the limits of how light and soft a tire can be). Thankfully they stretch on the rim so changing flats isn't as annoying as mounting them the first time
>>1934574I always carry a butyl tube and patch kit, dunno why I'd want to have a tube like Tubolito. Maybe as a pare for a 29x2.5 MTB tire just in case the tubeless sealant doesn't seal and you can't boot it?
