I think it's not the burger building techniques that cause the sound issue, it's the fact that cookie cutter homes are built as cheap as possible. I custom built my burgerland home, with solid interior doors, sound deadening material in all wall cavities and noise traps on return vents. Honestly can't tell the difference between it and my yuropoor hollow brick wall apartment.
