How do you guys lock up your bike?

Just started biking recently and only leave my bike at home or whoever's home I'm visiting

Want to start biking to other places were I would leave my bike outside for under an hour. What are secure ways to keep your bike locked up?

I know angle grinders kill everything, nothing can stop a thief yada yada

Carry multiple Ulocks for the frame and use a chain lock to lock each wheel to the frame. Anti-theft bolts on everything, anti-theft replacements for anything quick release. Dismount chain from front ring, you can even carry a tool and turn your handlebars sideways. And on top of all of that, install an air tag in the seat tube to track down the culprit if it gets stolen and cut off their fucking hands. Whether or not you want to go to those depths is up to you.

Kryptonite New York for either, pretty fitting lmao. A lot of that is probably overkill but I seriously recommend the anti-theft bolts and QR.

These days I do pretty much all my errand running in low risk environments (and have thru axle wheels) so I just put a generic old U-lock I've probably had for 10 years now through my frame and around a solid object. If I was riding somewhere I was worried about my bike I'd also bring a cable lock to put through the wheel.

That's it. The point of locks is to serve as a theft-deterrent to make a bike annoying to steal.

This. Every little bit helps but remember weight and convenience are legit security goals too. Keyed nuts and frame locks are particularly good there.

1. Get a good U-Lock. No cable or chain locks. I like the TiGr Blue Mini. It's the lightest decent lock out there. Of course it's not a secure as a 4lb Kryptonite.
2. Lock your frame & rear wheel.
3. Use quick disconnect pedals and take them with you when you lock it up.
4. Don't live anywhere there are niggers or low-life drug addicts.

5. Use as small of a lock as you can get away with. The good think about those TiGr locks is depending on your bike, you might be able to leave little to no room for someone to use bolt cutters (don't count on it).
6. Park next to more expensive bikes. E-bikes, full suspension mountaim bikes, and carbon bikes that have the stereotypical carbon fiber weave look.
7. Don't have a flashy bright colored bike.
8. Use an Air Tag but make sure you're not partially blocking the signal. Test it. Hopefully you can recover it and if you aren't in a leftist shithole, get that nigger locked up.
9. Take the chain off the chainring.
10. They make these shitty cable locks with a remote that work as a deadman switch. Once the cable is cut it (you can do it with scissors, lol), it alerts you if you're within range. If the nigger is stupid (likely) they'll cut that one before the main lock giving you enough time to beat his ass.

I have quick release wheels, and something I saw people suggest is to remove the front wheel, line it up with the rear one and lock both wheels and the frame to a post. That this would also make the bike already looted at a glance, and less likely to be targeted

In 90% of cases I think yes

There is a smaller incidence of professional thieves who target more secured high value bikes. However your common theft is a crime of opportunity for someone who will quickly pawn it off and couldn't differentiate Super Record from Claris

dont buy a bikelock they all suck
also if you habe quick release wheels or seat buy a long thin peice of chain to put through them
i see bikes with no wheels or seat all over the place
also be careful what rack you lock to
if its got locks on it but no bikes thats a bad rack
i find racks near busy roads are the worst for this
you can lock to other stuff too but id be very cautious about where
never leave your bike outside overnight
